The Board of Trustees of The Higher Learning Commission met on October 29, 2009. The Board approved on first reading a series of proposed new and amended policies (pdf) related to:
- Initial Status;
- Commission Ownership and Management of Information; and
- Compliance with revised federal rules for recognition of accrediting agencies.
The Commission invites comments on these changes before the Board takes final action. The policies on initial status will be voted on at the Board meeting on December 4, 2009. Comments are due December 2, 2009. All of the other policy additions and changes will be voted on at the Board meeting on February 23, 2010. Comments on those policies are due January 8, 2010.
